Swanson joins the Red Foxes out of East Hampton High School, where she swam for East Hampton Aquatic Club. Swanson placed third in 200-yard free and 100-yard free at 2019 Section XI Swimming Championships, and qualified for New York State Championship in the 100-yard fly and 100-yard free. In addition, she qualified for the 2020 YMCA Short course National Championship in the 100-yard fly, 100-yard free and 50-yard free.
