2013-14: MAAC All-Academic Team, Second Varsity Eight Boat of the Week (4/16, 4/23)...He took third place with the Second Varsity Eight Boat “A” at the Knecht Cup on April 12. The crew finished their heat in first place, and went on to finish in the Grand Finals with a time of 6:11.98, placing ahead of Bucknell, Delaware Lwt, and Trinity. As the Red Foxes retained the President’s Cup this season, he and the Second Varsity Eight took first place with a time of 5:02.00. The Red Foxes claimed their 13th consecutive MAAC Championship title, as Wiggins and the Second Varsity Eight claimed a first-place finish, posting a time of 6:00.23 to edge Jacksonville by just two seconds. At the New York State Championships, he and the Second Varsity Eight had a successful day in the finals, placing second with a time of 6:39.12. To close out the season, Marist placed seventh at the ECAC Championships, where the Second Varsity Eight placed fourth in the Grand Finals with a time of 6:08.739.
2012-13: All-MAAC Men's Varsity Eight Boat of the Year, MAAC Men’s Varsity Eight Boat of the Week (4/2, 4/9, 4/16), MAAC Men's Varsity Four Boat of the Week (4/9) - In the first race of the spring, the Varsity Eight came out victorious by a margin of just 1.1 seconds… The Red Foxes’ Varsity Four boat won its race on at the Sacred Heart Invitational by nearly nine seconds, finishing ahead of Iona with a time of 6:53.4, while the Varsity Eight Boat finished either first or second in both of its races. The boat finished second in its race on Saturday, April 6, just 2.2 seconds behind the first-place boat from Trinity, finishing in a time of 5:41.9...They were a full 19 seconds ahead of the USCGA in third place...At the Sacred Heart Invitational on Sunday, April 7, the same squad led the way, finishing in a time of 5:39.4, as Marist took the top three spots… The men’s Varsity Eight boat took sixth place out of 18 boats at the Knecht Cup, advancing to the finals by finishing third in both their first head and semifinal race...Marist improved its time by more than 10 seconds, advancing to the finals by just .66 seconds ahead of Mercyhurst, who beat them in the first race...In the Grand Final event, Marist finished sixth in a time of 6:06.05, less than two seconds by the boat from Trinity and less than 10 seconds behind the winner, Drexel…The Marist Varsity Eight boat tied with Jacksonville for the All-MAAC honors as the best varsity eight squad in the conference.
2011-12: MAAC Men's Second Varsity Eight Boat of the Week (3/27) - Men’s Novice Eight Boat advanced to their respective finals, finishing third in their heat with a time of 6:58.63..They improved by two seconds in the final at 6:56.39, good for fifth overall…Third fastest team in the preliminaries with a time of 6:58.63...They improved by two seconds in the final at 6:56.39, good for fifth overall at the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia, finishing only behind boats from Drexel, Penn, Virginia and Bucknell… At the Knecht Cup, The Men's Novice Eight placed fifth overall out of 22 boats with a time of 6:14.77 and finished ahead of Colgate
Prior to Marist: Wiggins was named Captain of the Saint Peter's Prep Rowing Team...He was also a member of the Pasaic River Rowing Association (PRRA)...In high school, Wiggins was named to the National Honor Society in 2011, as well as the Spanish National Honor Society in the same year.
