2014: MAAC Varsity Eight Boat of the Week (4/2, 4/16, 4/24)...She and the Varsity Eight kicked off the spring season taking first place at the Iona Invite to defeat Lehigh as well as MAAC rival Robert Morris. At the Sacred Heart Invitational, she and the Varsity Eight took second place behind Fairfield with a time of 8:09.91. To assist the Red Foxes in clinching the Sacred Heart Invitational Point Trophy, she and the Varsity Eight placed first with a time of 7:19.9. Rigothi also took first place in the single sculling event for Marist at the competition with a time of 9:18.8. She and the Varsity Eight maintained its successful season, as they claimed first place at home with a time of 5:53.0 to assist the Red Foxes to claim the President’s Cup again.
Prior to Marist: Rigothi won three NYS Championships, while racing for two consecutive years in the finals at the Stotesbury Cup Regatta...In 2012, she finished third at the SRAA National Championships in a junior 2x...Also in 2012-13 her double was named Poughkeepsie Journal Boat of The Year...In 2013, Rigothi earned a silver medal at the US Rowing Club Nationals in the Women’s Senior 2x category...In 2011, she finished in third place in the U17 single category at the Royal Canadian Henley Regatta...Rigothi has also won two Head of the Fish races and competed in her single twice at the Head of the Charles Regatta...Rigothi qualified for the Scholastic National Championships all four years of high school and qualified for the US Rowing Youth National Championships in 2013...She was a member of the New York State Scholastic Rowing Association Scholar/Athlete Team and was one of only 55 high school rowers in America awarded to the US Rowing Scholastic Honor Roll...In 2012-13, Rigothi was president of the National Honor Society at PHS and was the valedictorian of Poughkeepsie High School's class of 2013.
