Biography
2013: Appeared in 26 of Marist’s 37 games as a senior, missing several games due to injury… Scored eight goals and added 14 assists on the season… Scored on eight of her 17 shots for a .471 shooting percentage… Made 16 steals and added three field blocks… … Had multi-point efforts in four games… Scored two goals on March 23 vs. St. Francis… Had a goal and two assists for three points twice against Wagner on March 30 and against Iona on April 7.
2012: Played in 33 games for the Red Foxes... Finished the season with 14 goals and 21 assists... Had 28 steals and 10 ejections drawn... Had 10 multi-point games during the season... Registered a point in seven straight games from 2/11-3/9... Scored a goal and had two assists in a 13-12 overtime victory over Iona on 3/24... Had two goals and two assists for a season-high four points on 4/7 against VMI... Had a season-high three assists against Villanova in the MAAC Tournament... Had a season-high four steals in the second game of the season vs. San Diego State on 1/28.
2011: Played in 18 games for the Red Foxes ... Finished the season with three goals and six assists ... Scored two goals versus Cal State Bakersfield on February 13 ... Notched a goal at Villanova on April 24.
2010: ... Played in 23 regular season games ... Scored five goals with a shooting percentage of .417 ... Also recorded five assists and 10 steals on the season ... Had two goals, an assist, and three steals against Villanova on April 10.
Prior to Marist: Maynes was named the 2009 Washington State Most Valuable Player after leading Liberty High School to the 2009 Washington State Championship. She will study fashion design at Marist. Huckins on Maynes: "I had the privilege of coaching Mackenzie in her club years before coming to Marist. She is a tremendous competitor and has a great understanding of the game. Mackenzie is a crafty driver with both national and international playing experience, and I believe she'll be a contributor to the program right now."
