Withers was a member of the National Honor Society and a member of the Science Honor Society... Finalist in the National Council of Teachers of English writing contest... Editor-in-Chief of The Buzz, her high school school newspaper, and editor of Voices, the school literary magazine... Awarded Gold and Silver Keys in Scholastic Art & Writing Awards... was named a NYSSRA (NY State Scholastic Rowing Association) Scholar Athlete and was Captain of crew team her senior year... Placed fifth at 2014 SSRA Nationals and had a second place at 2012, 2014 NY States Competition.
