Marist Record Book: 100-Yard Breaststroke (1:02.17), 400-Yard Medley Relay (3:48.42)
2011-12: 2012 U.S. Olympic Trial Qualifier... MAAC Champion: 200-Yard IM and 200-Yard Breaststroke & 200- and 400-Yard Medley Relay Teams... ECAC Champion: 400-Yard Medley Relay... 2x MAAC Swimmer of the Week (11/22, 12/6)... Marist's first-ever actively competing athlete to qualify for an Olympic Trial via her time of 1:11.88 in the finals of the 100-meter breaststroke at the ECAC Long Course Meter Swimming Invitational on Feb. 23. She exceeded the trial time in the event by more than 0.3 seconds when she clocked in at 1:12.19 to move into the final... Competed in five events, three solo and two relays, and came away with four 2012 MAAC Championship titles... Individually, she took first place in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:17.51) and 200-yard IM (2:05.58), while finishing runner-up in the 100-yard breaststroke at 1:02.17 (a Marist school record)... In relays, her 200- and 400-yard medley relay teams won with times of 1:45.37 and 3:48.42, respectively.
At the ECAC Championships, her second place finish in the 200-yard IM at 2:06.54 led a trio of top four finishes: 100-yard breaststroke (Third-1:04.25) and 200-yard breaststroke (Fourth-2:17.91)... In relays, her 400-yard medley squad took first at 3:49.56, while her 200-yard medley team finished in fifth at 1:47.34.
Prior to Marist: Leberfinger comes to the Red Foxes from Chatham High School in Chatham, N.J. The holder of three high school team records, she earned First Team All-County honors in the breaststroke. The captain of the varsity swim team, she helped her team win conference and county titles three consecutive years. Leberfinger is a five-time YMCA National qualifier at the club level as a member of the Somerset Hills YMCA.
