Biography
2016-17: MAAC All-Academic Team... Competed in four events in the MAAC Championships: the 100- and 200-yard butterfly and the 200- and 400-yard individual medley... Finished in first place at the MAAC Championships in the 100-yard butterfly (1:00.71).
2015-16: MAAC All-Academic Team... Placed second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:16.70) vs. Fairfield... Finished third in the same event at Canisius and Southern Connecticut State... Competed in four events at the MAAC Championships: the 100 and 200-yard butterfly and the 200- and 400-yard IM... Swam in both IM events and the 200-yard butterfly at the ECAC Championships.
2014-15: MAAC All-Academic Team... Mosca started her season off against Canisius with a fourth and fifth place finish in the 100- (1:03.07) and 200-yard backstrokes (2:20.67)... She had her best finish when she won the 100-yard freestyle at the ECAC Championships with a time of 1:00.47... During the MAAC Championships, she placed 13th in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:42.14.
2013-14: In her first season as a Red Fox, Kate Mosca competed in three events during the preliminary round of the MAAC Championships and advanced in two of them... In the 400-yard inidividual medley, placed 11th with a time of 4:43.89, while taking 13th in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:14.11... At the ECAC Championships, finished 15th in the 200-yard individual medley... On Oct. 18, she won the 100- and 200-yard butterfly events at Canisius... Placed second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.66) at the H2ounds Invitational on Dec. 7... Took second in the 200-yard individual medley (2:15.80) and third in the 200-yard butterfly (2:14.42) Feb. 1 at Binghamton.
Prior to Marist: Kate Mosca joins the Red Foxes with her twin sister, Sarah, after a strong career at Dansville High School and with the Mercury Swimming Club. At Dansville, Kate set the school and Section V Class C record in the 200-yard IM and 500-yard freestyle disciplines. Her success in the individual medley carried over to the state level where she was a finalist in the NYS Championships. The Section V Swimmer of the Meet, Kate served as her team’s captain during her career at Dansville. A participant at the NCSA Junior Nationals, she was named the 2012 LCAA Senior Swimmer of the Year. Outside of the pool she was the Salutatorian for her 2013 graduating class.
