Biography
2016-17: MAAC All-Academic Team... Competed in three events at the MAAC Championships: the 200-yard butterfly, and the 200- and 400-yard individual medley... Competed in those same three events in the ECAC Championships, placing as high as eighth in the 400-yard individual medley.
2015-16: MAAC All-Academic Team... Won the 200-yard butterfly at three regular season dual meets... Finished second in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:10.84) vs. Fairfield... Was the runner up in the 200-yard butterfly at the MAAC Championships with a time of 2:09.21. Also finished in the top 10 in the 200- and 400-yard IM... Swam in the same three events at the ECAC Championships, with her best finish coming in the 400-yard IM (16th; 4:38.53).
2014-15: MAAC All-Academic Team... In her opening meet of the season against Canisius, Mosca won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:15.16... She continued her winning ways with first place finishes in the 200-yard freestyles against Fairfield (2:31.48) and Rider (2:12.81)... During the MAAC Championships, Mosca placed third in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.52... At the ECAC Championships, she won the 100-yard brestsroke with a time of 1:08.43 and placed second in the 100-yard butterfly (58.81 seconds).
2013-14: 2014 CSCAA Individual Scholar All-Americans Honorable Mention... In her rookie season, she advanced to the finals in two events at the 2014 MAAC Championships... Placed fourth in the 200-yard individual medley (2:08.74), finished fifth in the 200-yard butterfly (2:10.46), and took sixth place in the 100-yard butterfly (58.42)... Competed at the ECAC Championships, finishing 13th in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard medley.
Prior to Marist: Sarah joins her twin sister, Kate, in venturing from Western New York to Poughkeepsie. A two-time school and Section V Class C record holder in the 100-yard butterfly and 100-yard breaststroke, Mosca was recognized as the Section V Sportsperson of the Year as a senior. In NYS Championship competition, the Dansville team captain placed in the top eight in the 100-yard fly and 100-yard breaststroke. Through her club team, Mercury Swimming, Mosca qualified for the NSCA Junior Nationals as well as the Santa Clara Grand Prix and Minneapolis Grand Prix events. For her work in the classroom Mosca earned the honor of 2013 Class Valedictorian.
