Tenney Stadium Turf Installation
The Tenney Stadium turf resurfacing was completed May-July 2017.
Removal of the Tenney Stadium turf began May 24 and marked the first renovations to the field since the fall of 2007 when the the synthetic playing surface was originally installed. The current grandstand, press booth, media booths and VIP suites along the east side of Tenney Stadium were constructed that same year. Chenango Contracting, Inc. is heading the project due to be completed by mid-June.
The grading base underneath the old Leonidoff Field turf was smoothed out the beginning of June and the new turf playing surface was installed June 7. For the first time in the stadium's history there will be permanent goalposts installed at both ends of the field.
The third stage of the Marist Athletics department's resurfacing of Tenney Stadium is complete.
After the new playing surface was installed June 7, the Marist and Red Foxes word marks were placed in the end zones and the Marist word mark and fox head were put at midfield. Individual sport lines are painted on game-by-game for football, men’s and women’s soccer, and men’s and women’s lacrosse. The turf is available for all teams to begin the 2017-2018 season.
