11397 The greatest pitcher who's ever worn a Marist uniform, Chris Tracz is going into his 12th season as head coach of the Red Foxes in 2021. Through 11 seasons, Tracz has amassed a record of 269-254-2 (.512). Marist's all-time winningest coach, Tracz led the team to the 2017 MAAC Championship and played in the NCAA Tournament's Gainesville Regional. 

In his time as head coach, Tracz has produced eight MLB Draft picks with one player currently in the majors, one All-American, three MAAC Pitchers of the Year, eight First Team All-MAAC Selections, 18 Second Team All-MAAC Selections, 101 MAAC All-Academic honorees and six CoSIDA Academic All-District Selections.

Over the past four years, Tracz and his staff have observed a tangible upswing in offensive statistics. Runs, doubles, and RBI have seen gradual increases while home runs have doubled since 2015. The program heads into the 2019 season with momentum, hoping to accomplish their strongest season yet.11406

  • Mentored junior Charlie Jerla en route to MAAC Pitcher of the Year award and guided the team to its best overall record since 2011, its best non-conference record since 2012 and its first MAAC Championship and NCAA Tournament appearance since 2009.
  • Guided freshman Frankie Gregoire through a record-setting rookie campaign en route to Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American and First Team All-MAAC Honors in 2016.
  • Led 2013 squad to second place finish in conference with a 16-8 MAAC record.
  • Received Top 25 votes in 2011 as the Red Foxes posted a record of 35-17, good for the second most wins in program history. Marist finished the season ranked in the top 50 in the country in ERA (3.35), fewest walks per nine innings (2.99), while pitcher Sean McKeown ranked 27th in ERA (1.87) and 15th in hits per nine innings (6.03).
  • Matched a program record with four selections in the MLB First Year Player Draft in 2011.
  • Won six of eight MAAC series in first season as collegiate head coach and guided team to 33 wins in 2010.
