The 2025 season marks the seventh season for Mike Coss at Marist and first season as Associate Head Coach.
For the 2025 season, Coss will serve as the program's pitching coach & recruiting coordinator under head coach Lance Ratchford.

"Mike has developed into one of the best young recruiters in the region," Ratchford said. "His ability to scout and evaluate talent tells you everything you need to know about why the program has been so successful. He's relatable to the student athlete and his level of care of Marist baseball is worn on his sleeve everyday."
In the fall of 2021, Coss took on recruiting coordinator responsibilities, with a focus on recruiting New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and the Mid-Atlantic Region.
Coss began his coaching career under Ratchford at Cobleskill for the 2018 season. At Cobleskill, Coss oversaw the development of the pitching staff and served as the recruiting coordinator. He was a part of a staff that completed a turnaround season in the second year of the program's existence. Cobleskill finished the season at 16-21 (9-9 in NEAC) after a 3-28 (2-14 in NEAC) mark in the program's inaugural season. Coss guided the pitching staff to the third best earned run average in the conference at 5.72, which was an improvement from 8.56 the previous year.
Coss played all four years of his career at Marist College and graduated in May of 2018. Coss ranks fourth all-time in program history in appearances (78) and fifth in saves (11). He threw 145 career-innings at Marist and held opponents to a career batting average against of .243. He was an instrumental part of the 2017 MAAC Championship team that went on to play the eventual National Champion Florida Gators in the NCAA tournament. In his senior campaign he pitched 48 innings with a 3.38 ERA, a 5-2 record and eight saves.
Coss graduated Marist with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in marketing and a minor in sports communication.
A native of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Coss graduated from Pompton Lakes High School posting a stellar prep career. A three-time All-Passaic County Pitcher and two-time Passaic County and North 1 Group 1 Sectional State Champion.
