Ben Fleet

Ben Fleet was hired as Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach at Marist in July of 2024.

A native of Ithaca, New York, Fleet graduated from Ithaca College in 2022 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science, concentrating in Strength and Conditioning.

Fleet came to Marist after serving as Interim Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Ithaca College, a role he assumed in January 2024. In this position, Fleet was responsible for scheduling teams, managing the budget, and educating the strength and conditioning staff.

Before his interim role, Fleet was an assistant coach in the department from 2022 to 2024. He developed and applied strength, speed, and energy development programs for football, men's and women's track and field, women's rowing, and field hockey. He also managed and collaborated with graduate assistants and interns. From 2021 to 2022, Fleet worked as a student assistant, helping to implement strength and conditioning programs for 27 varsity sports teams.

In 2022, Fleet volunteered as a Strength and Conditioning Assistant at Cornell University, where he contributed to strength, speed, and energy system development programs for football and men's ice hockey.

Fleet interned in strength and conditioning at Syracuse University in 2020 and 2021, where he developed in-season and off-season programs reviewed by five Division I strength coaches. He also assisted in implementing four different strength programs and one conditioning program for the football team.

Fleet is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is also a USA Weightlifting Level 1 Coach and holds First Aid/CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross.
