Biography
- Placed 5th of 16 in the 2nd Varsity 8 at the Head of the Housatonic
- Placed 5th in the 2nd Varsity 8 at the Head of the Fish
- Placed 1st in the 2nd Varsity 8 at the President’s Cup
- Placed 2nd in the 2nd Varsity 8 at the NIRC
- Placed 2nd in the Varsity 8+ at the Fall Metro
To kick off the Spring season, he competed with the Varsity Eight at the Sacred Heart Invitational on April 7, where the crew finished third to beat both Iona and Fairfield. At the Knecht Cup on April 12, he and the Second Varsity Eight Boat “B” placed fifth with a time of 6:32.06, defeating La Salle while being .2 seconds away from qualifying for the petite final. As the Red Foxes retained the President’s Cup, Martensson and the Third Varsity Eight placed second for Marist with a time of 5:13.00. At the New York State Championships, he and the Third Varsity Eight placed second for the Red Foxes with a time of 7:06.08. To close out the season, Marist placed seventh at the ECAC Championships, where the Third Varsity Eight placed third overall in the Grand Finals in 6:26.023.
