Biography
2013-14: MAAC Varsity Eight Co-Boat of the Year, Varsity Eight Boat of the Week (4/23)...At the Knecht Cup on April 12, he and the Varsity Eight finished in first place in the petite finals with a time of 6:12.36, after placing third in the semis. As the Red Foxes retained the President’s Cup, Klos and the Varsity Eight defeated both Army and Iona, winning the event with a time of 5:09.00. The Red Foxes claimed their 13th consecutive MAAC Championship title, as the Varsity Eight placed first for Marist with a time of 5:59.60. At the New York State Championships, he and the Varsity Eight placed fifth in the Grand Final with a time of 6:28.93. To close out the season, Marist placed seventh at the ECAC Championships, where the Varsity Eight placed third in the Petite Finals in 6:19.967.
2012-13: All-MAAC Men's Varsity Eight Boat, Men's Varisty Eight Boat of the Week (4/2, 4/9) - Varsity Eight Boat finished 17th out of 37 boats in their race, finishing with a time of 16:28.918 at the Head of Charles…In the first race of the spring, the Varsity Eight came out victorious by a margin of just 1.1 seconds…The Marist men's Varsity Eight Boat finished second on Sat. April 6, just 2.2 seconds behind the first-place boat from Trinity, finishing in a time of 5:41.9...They were a full 19 seconds ahead of the USCGA in third place. At the Sacred Heart Invitational on Sunday,April 7, the same squad led the way, finishing in a time of 5:39.4, as Marist took the top three spots…The Marist Varsity Eight boat tied with Jacksonville for the All-MAAC honors as the best varsity eight squad in the conference.
2011-12: MAAC Men's Varsity Second Eight Boat of the Week (3/27) - Men’s Novice Eight Boat advanced to their respective finals, finishing third in their heat with a time of 6:58.63...They improved by two seconds in the final at 6:56.39, good for fifth overall… Third fastest team in the preliminaries with a time of 6:58.63...They improved by two seconds in the final at 6:56.39, good for fifth overall at the Murphy Cup in Philadelphia, finishing only behind boats from Drexel, Penn, Virginia and Bucknell… At the Knecht Cup, The Men's Novice Eight placed fifth overall out of 22 boats with a time of 6:14.77 and finished ahead of Colgate.
Prior to Marist: Klos rowed, where he competed for the fall and spring seasons for all four years...He also set the school's 2k and 6k erg records which still stand today.
