Bankowski joins the Red Foxes out of Canton High School in Massachusetts. While there, he swam for the Bluefish Swim Club. One of Bankowski's biggest accomplishments is that he both qualified and was able to go to futures. In high school, Bankoski won his senior meet four years in a row. In addition, he placed third in the 50-yard breast in his senior meet, and was able to qualify for sectionals. For his age group, he was also able to place second and win a silver medal in the 50-yard free.
