Biography
Accolades: MAAC All-Academic Team.
- Swam in three events at the MAAC Championships, setting season bests in all three (22.08 in 50 Free; 49.03 in 100 Free; 53.52 in 100 Fly)
- Took fourth in the 50 Free against Fairfield
- Competed in the 50-, 100- and 200- yard freestyle at both MAAC and ECAC Championships
- Came in third in the 50-yard free at Fairfield
Prior to Marist: Simpson helped lead his high school team to a runner up finish at the state championships. He was a team captain at Belen Jesuit and received the Coaches’ Award. Individually, Simpson was a First Team All-Dade County selection and placed second in the 200-yard medley and 400-yard freestyle relay. He also finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay.
