2014-15: MAAC Swimmer of the Week (2/4), ECAC Co-Swimmer of the Week (2/4)... Finished third in the 400-yard individual medley at the MAAC Championships after clocking in with the third fastest time in program history (4:00.82)... Also finished third in the 200-yard butterfly (1:51.62) and 200-yard IM (1:51.02) at the MAAC title meet... Member of the second place 800-yard freestyle relay (6:40.09) and 400-yard medley relay (3:22.99) teams at the MAAC Championships... Placed fourth in the 200-yard butterfly (1:50.98) at the ECAC Championships... Placed 11th in the 200-yard IM (1:51.55) and 13th in the 400-yard IM (4:04.43) at the ECAC Championships... Won the 100-yard breaststroke vs. Fairfield (1:00.20)... Never placed lower than fourth in the 100- or 200-yard butterfly events.
2013-14: In the MAAC Championship preliminaries, competed in the 200-yard inidividual medley and 100-yard butterfly and had times of 1:52.32 and 50.06 seconds, respectively... Placed second in 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:51.14 and fourth in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.47 seconds... Broke the school record in the 800-yard freestyle relay with a time of 6:46.47... Placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.59... At the ECAC Championships, placed second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 1:50.27, fourth in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 1:51.01, and 14th in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 50.41 seconds.
2012-13: 2x MAAC Swimmer of the Week (10/22, 2/5)… Finished eighth with a time of 50.18 seconds in the 100-yard butterfly at the ECAC Championships… Finished sixth in the 800-yard freestyle relay with teammates Stephen Miller, William Drennan and Nicholas Spinella… Finished sixth in the 200-yard butterfly at ECACs… Finished sixth in the 400-yard freestyle relay with teammates Spencer Kelley, John Spitzer and Nicholas Spinella in the ECAC final.
2011-12: MAAC Champion 200-Yard Butterfly, 2x MAAC Swimmer of the Week (11/22, 1/31)... Won a MAAC title in the 200-yard butterfly with a school record time of 1:49.40... Earned a second place finish in the 100-yard butterfly at 50.37 seconds... Took sixth in the 200-yard IM with a time of 1:53.50... In relay action, swam with the third place 800-yard freestyle (6:53.47), fourth place 200-yard medley (1:34.50), fifth place 400-yard medley (3:26.70), and fifth place 400-yard freestyle (3:06.09) squads.
At the ECAC Championships, competed in two A-Finals and one B-Final... Finished sixth in the 200-yard butterfly at 1:51.45 and seventh in the 200-yard IM at 1:53.85... Took 14th in the 100-yard butterfly at 51.14 seconds... Swam with the seventh place 400-yard medley (3:26.68), 400-yard freestyle (3:07.33) and 800-yard freestyle relay teams (7:00.45) as well as the eighth place 200-yard medley squad (1:34.98).
Prior to Marist: Ruddy comes to the Red Foxes from Kingston High School in Kingston, N.Y. He swam scholastically for the Kingston varsity swim team from seventh through 10th grade. Ruddy qualified for the New York State Championships in the 100- and 200-yard freestyles, 400-yard freestyle relay, 500-yard freestyle, 200-yard IM and 50-yard butterfly. He holds school records in the 200-yard freestyle and the 400-yard freestyle relay. A member of the Marist Swim Club since the spring of 2009, he qualified for the 2010 NCSA Junior Championships and the 2010 U.S. Swimming Junior Nationals (SCY) in the 200-yard butterfly.
