2015-16: Placed first in the 200-yard butterfly at Canisius (1:57.50) and the H2ounds Invitational (1:54.58)... Finished second in the 100-yard event in the same two meets... At the MAAC Championships, finished fourth in the 100-yard butterfly (49.86 seconds) and competed in the 200-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM... Swam a time trial in the 100-meter butterfly at the ECAC Long Course Invitational... Finished 12th in the 200-yard butterfly and 14th at 100 yards at the ECAC Championships.

2014-15: Finished 10th in the 200-yard butterfly at the ECAC Championships with a time of 1:52.59, the fifth fastest in program history... Finished eighth in the 200-yard butterfly at the MAAC Championships (1:52.70)... Competed in the 100-yard butterfly and 200-yard IM at the MAAC and ECAC Championships. 

2013-14: Swam in preliminaries for the 100- and 200-yard butterfly at the MAAC Championships... Finished 15th in 100-yard final with a time of 52.47 seconds and 14th in the 200-yard final with a time of 1:57.60... Also competed in the ECAC Championships in the 200-yard butterfly, finishing in 15th with a time of 1:55.73.

Prior to Marist: Cassel joins the Red Foxes following a decorated interscholastic and club career. A holder of four school records at Upper Perkiomen High in Pennsburg, Pa., Cassel was the Swimmer of the Meet at the 2013 Pennsylvania AA District I event. His team’s MVP as a sophomore, junior, and senior, Cassel participated in four events at the 2013 Pennsylvania AA States: three relays and the 100-yard butterfly. In club action he swam for the Pottstown Seahawks and was a member of the state record-breaking 200-yard freestyle relay at the Pennsylvania YMCA States.
