2016-17: Member of Marist's first place 800-yard freestyle relay squad at the H2ounds Invitational... Competed in three events at the MAAC Championships: the 50-yard freestyle, 100- and 200-yard butterfly.

2015-16: Finished fourth in the 200-yard freestyle vs. Boston College (1:47.68) and Seton Hall (1:48.18)... Competed in the 100- and 200-yard butterfly and swam a personal best 4:42.27 in the 500-yard freestyle at the MAAC Championships... Individually raced in the same three events at the ECAC Championships... Member of the fifth place 400-yard freestyle relay squad that clocked in at 3:04.12 at the ECAC Championships.     

Prior to Marist: Valceanu was team MVP at West Potomac High School for three consecutive seasons. He currently holds the program’s records in the 200-yard freestyle and 100-yard butterfly. During his senior year he competed in the 100-yard butterfly and 200- and 400-yard freestyle relay events at the state title meet. Valceanu owns Fort Belvoir’s record in the 200-yard freestyle and was part of several record-setting relay squads at the NASA Junior National Championship Cup. He helps coach his summer league team during its offseason practices.
