Accolades: MAAC Championships Bronze Medalist (200-yard Backstroke)
- Placed third at the MAAC Championships in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:45.90Â
- Broke the school record in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:45.47 in the day four prelims at the MAAC Championships
- Placed first in the 200-yard backstroke against Binghamton (1:53.47).
- Broke his own school record in the 200-yard backstroke and earned an NCAA B-Cut with a time of 1:44.57.
- Broke the school record for 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.04.

- Finished 10th overall in the 200-yard backstroke at the ECAC Championships.
- Placed third in the 100-yard backstroke against Southern Connecticut.
Smith has experienced a couple injuries such as two broken collarbones as well as a dislocated knee, but managed to come back on top, being the MVP freshman, sophomore and senior year of high-school. He placed 12th and 13th at states and was the Sectional champion throughout his high school athletic career. Aside from athletics, Smith was a member of the National Honor Soceity throughout his time in high school.
