Andrew Sendek was named Marist University's Director of Tennis in September 2026.
In his most recent position, Sendek served as the head men's and women's tennis coach at the University of Mount Olive during the 2025-26 season. In his first season at Mount Olive, he led the men's program to an 11-0 record in Conference Carolina play, the program's first undefeated conference season since 2015. The Trojans finished as the Conference Carolina tournament runner-up, while Sendek was named Conference Carolina Men's Coach of the Year. Mount Olive also produced the conference's Men's Freshman of the Year and six All-Conference selections under Sendek's leadership.
Prior to Mount Olive, Sendek spent the 2024-25 season as an assistant coach at Northwood University. He helped lead the women's team to a second-place finish in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference and a No. 7 ranking in the NCAA Midwest Regional Rankings. Northwood also participated in the 2024 NCAA Tournament and produced five All-GMAC selections during Sendek's tenure.
Sendek previously served as the head men's and women's tennis coach at Saginaw Valley State University during the 2023-24 season. He began his collegiate tennis coaching career at Georgia Southwestern State University, where he served as head tennis coach and assistant compliance director from 2022-23.
A former collegiate tennis player at Wilmington College and West Virginia University, Sendek played No. 1 singles at Wilmington. He was a four-year varsity tennis player in high school, ranking as high as No. 3 and No. 4 in regional tournaments and among the top 150 players in the USTA Midwest Region. He also represented the United States in international competition.
Sendek earned a Master of Business in Sport Management from Lincoln Memorial University in 2024 and a Master of Science in Sport Coaching from West Virginia University in 2019. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Coaching Education from West Virginia in 2017, with minors in Sport Exercise Psychology and Sport Communication.
