Originally from Porter Ranch, CA Ian Layton is the son of Denise and David Layton and younger brother to Damian Layton. Before attending Marist, Ian was enrolled at the Weil Tennis Academy where he was an AP Scholar. Layton names Italian Tennis Superstar Jannik Sinner as his athletic inspiration.
