Alex Cuesta, a Marist College alum and alumni of the track and field program, joined the coaching staff for the Marist cross country/track & field teams in the 2014-15 season.

Cuesta’s primary role is assisting with the men’s and women’s sprinters, hurdlers and jumpers. He assists in transporting athletes to and from off-campus practice locations, monitoring and participating in the sprint team workouts, and assisting with day of meet management for away cross country and track meets.

During his four-year career with the Red Foxes, Cuesta participated in sprints, long sprints and relay events.

“Having Cuesta on our staff gives us more flexibility, and he provides unquestioned energy to practices and meets,’’ Director of Cross Country/Track & Field Pete Colaizzo said. “Our athletes enjoy having him around and he is a big help to us all.’’
