Hailey Wagner '19

Wagner joined the program as an assistant, immediately following her graduation from Marist in 2019. This was following the conclusion of a stellar career as a Red Fox, in which she was seen as a role model by all of her teammates, both on and off the field. When it comes to draw controls, Wagner is alone atop the record books. Not only does she own the program record for most draw controls in a single game (23), she is also number one in single season draw controls with 224 (an NCAA record). She holds Marist's career draw control record with 573, while the next best is Jamie Romano with 268. She is also tied for first in total games played as a Red Fox with 71.

As a freshman, Wagner was named to the MAAC All-Rookie Team, and was a one-time MAAC Rookie of the Week award winner. She improved upon that in her sophomore and junior campaigns, making the All-MAAC Second Team and the MAAC All-Academic Team both seasons. Wagner was also named MAAC Student-Athlete of the Year Honorable Mention her junior year. She followed all of this up with a senior year for the ages. Along with setting an NCAA record in draw controls, she added a career-high 36 goals and 18 ground balls, to go with 12 assists and seven caused turnovers. She was named to the All-MAAC First Team, MAAC All- Academic Team, and MAAC All-Tournament Team, as well as being named the Marist Female Sportsperson of the Year and the President's Academic Achievement Award winner. Wagner ended her career ranked 2nd in NCAA History for career draw controls (573).

Wagner's career accolades include: Being the 2019 MAAC Student-Athlete of the Year, being a 2019 NCAA Woman of the Year nominee, being named to the 2019 CoSIDA Academic All-American Third Team, being a 2019 IWLCA Senior All-Star, and being an Inside Lacrosse Honorable Mention All-American Draw Specialist.
