Marist University Athletics

Shannon Mackesey was hired as a new Assistant Women's Lacrosse Coach in the Fall of  2021. 

Prior to her arrival at Marist College, Mackesey was a former student-athlete at the University of Albany. She was a two year starting defender for the Women’s Lacrosse program and helped guide the team to four appearances in the America East Championship. From 2018 to 2021, Mackesy was the first Assistant Coach for St. Bonaventure University Women's Lacrosse team. 

Shannon received her Bachelor’s of Arts in US History and minor in Criminal Justice from UAlbany in 2018 and her Master’s of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications from St. Bonaventure University in May 2021. 

Mackesey is a native of Altamont, NY.
