Prior to Marist: Nixon was a four-year varsity lacrosse player Park City High School and won the Utah State Championship all four years. She was on the Under Armor All-America Underclassman Tournament Southwest team in 2016, and played in the Adrenaline All-American Game in 2018, which is played by the top 60 lacrosse players in the west. She was selected All-Region as a sophomore and junior and All-State as a senior. Nixon played on the U17 US Lacrosse National Tournament Utah/Idaho Team in 2016 and 2017, which is made up of the best 20 players in the region. She also played for the West Coast Starz club team from 2016-2018. Nixon was on the academic honor roll all for years of high school and was a U16 Nationally Ranked Alpine Ski Racer.
