At Canton High School, Potter was a scholar athlete as a freshman and sophomore, and also was all-conference as a sophomore and a senior. In addition to being all-conference, Potter was also all-state as a senior. Other accolades include being named Underclassman Athlete of the Year as a sophomore, State Champion in lacrosse in 2016, member of the 2017 US Lacrosse Connecticut Team, captain of the Varsity Soccer team in 12th grade, and  State Champion in basketball in 2016.
