2013-14: MAAC All-Academic Team... Competed in her third MAAC Championships, participating in the 400-yard individual medley (4:55.49), 100-yard backstroke (1:01.36) and 200-yard backstroke (2:08.23)... At the ECAC Championships, she placed 15th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.52).

2012-13: MAAC All-Academic Team…  Placed 15th in the 400-yard IM at the MAAC Championships… Placed 18th in the 100-yard backstroke preliminaries.

2011-12: Qualified for and swam in two consolation finals for the Red Foxes as a freshman at the 2012 MAAC Championships: the 100- and 200-yard backstroke events. In the 100-yard race, she finished 14th (1:01.42), while she took 15th place in the 200-yd backstroke (2:11.28)... Swam the 1000-yard freestyle race in a time of 11:16.75.

At the ECAC Championships, swam in two individual races, the 100-yard backstroke (1:02.68) and the 200-yard backstroke (2:10.99)... In relay action, she competed with the sixth place finishing 400-yard freestyle relay team (3:51.17).

Prior to Marist: Bystrak swam at Wolcott High School and for the Southington Stingrays club. With Wolcott she swam the 100-yard backstroke and 500-yard freestyle finals of the 2010 CIAC Class S Girls Swimming Championship. She competed in the same disciplines at the New England YMCA Championships for the Stingrays.
