2012-2013: MAAC All-Academic Team… Finished sixth in the 1,650-yard freestyle at the ECAC Championships… Placed seventh at MAAC Championships in the 1,000-yard freestyle.

2011-12: In her first MAAC Championship, she qualified for finals in all three distance freestyle events. Her sixth-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:34.18) led the way, as she finished ninth in the 1,000-yard event at 10:29.25 and 10th in the 500-yard freestyle (5:08.14)... At the ECAC Championships, she participated in three events: the 100-yard backstroke (1:01.42), 500-yard freestyle (5:12.32) and the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:40.72).

Prior to Marist: An accomplished high school competitor, Toal was the captain of the Rye/Blind Brook school team in her senior year. She qualified for the New York State Championships in the 500-yard freestyle and was a member of the 200-yard medley relay team. In January 2011 she was awarded the Blind Brook High School Athlete of the Month. She competed with the nationally ranked Empire Swimming Club and swam in events across every discipline.
