Baker enters his first season as an Assistant Coach for the men’s tennis team.
Prior to Marist, Baker served as a Volunteer Women’s Assistant coach at Army West Point. Last season, Army won the Patriot League to earn an automatic berth into the NCAA Championships. He has also served as the Administrative Director of West Point Tennis Camps
Baker brings an abundance of experience coaching youth. He has been coaching at the Highlands Country Club since June 2017. Baker has been a worked as a Tennis Camp Counselor since 2014, including a stint as the Assistant Tennis Director of the Nike Tennis Camp in Lawrenceville, Kansas.
Baker graduated from Southwestern College in 2017 with a degree in History, serving as a team captain his senior season. During his time as a student athlete, Baker earned a multitude of accolades, Including the ITA/Arthur Ashe Leadership & Sportsmanship Award (2017), KCAC Champion of Character (2017, 2016) KCAC Team of Character Award (2017, 2016, 2015) and Team ITA Community Service Award (2017).
