Justin Satkowski was named Marist head women's tennis coach in August of 2015.
Satkowski comes to Marist with a wealth of experience as a head coach and instructor. He served as head men’s tennis coach of Mount Saint Mary College in nearby Newburgh from 2008-14. His 2013 tied the school record for victories and finished 14-6 overall.
The Knights enjoyed four straight winning seasons for the first time in program history from 2011-14, and compiled a record of 47-24 in that time. They reached the Skyline Conference Tournament in all four of those seasons, and reached the tournament final in 2011, 2013 and 2014. He recruited four all-conference selections, including Greg Jacob, who was named all-conference in all four of his collegiate seasons.
Satkowski has worked in several areas to promote the growth of the sport. He serves as a teaching professional at MatchPoint Tennis in Goshen, and directed an annual summer camp as head coach of Mount Saint Mary. During his tenure with the Knights, he served as the conference representative to the NCAA Division III Selection Committee.
In addition to his head coaching duties, Satkowski was Sports Information Director (2006-13) and Assistant Athletic Director (2011-13) at Mount Saint Mary.
A 2006 graduate of Dartmouth who majored in Economics and Geography, Satkowski resides in Walden with his wife, Regina.
