Biography
- Team captain
- Her lone singles appearance came out of the sixth flight at Niagara on April 16th
- Made two appearances in No. 2 doubles with Deana Giambo, earning a win over the Purple Eagles’ Erika Gonzalez and Kirah Regales, 6-3
- Tied for the team lead with eight singles wins, including a 6-1 record in tournament play
- Reached the "E" finals of the West Point Invite from September 27-29
- Won 6-1, 6-2 in the fifth flight over Chinonye Gabriel in Marist's MAAC win over Monmouth on October 4
- Also racked up four No. 1 doubles wins in dual matches
- All four triumphs came with Julia Gabay, and three came in Marist's wins
- Had an overall record of 9-12 in singles play, going 5-10 in dual matches and picking up four wins in the fifth position
- She had a 9-13 record in doubles and a 4-2 record in conference play, with all nine victories coming from the first position

- She was 4-2 in conference play and 1-1 in tournament play
Prior to Marist:Â Galu played varsity high school tennis her freshman, junior, and senior year. She competed at #1 singles for her junior and senior year, and senior year she was named captain. Â She was named All-conference and All-state when she qualified for State Doubles in her junior year and was MVP in both her junior and senior year. After a coaching change and a ton of hard work at the beginning of her junior year, Galu managed to jump over 500 spots on Tennis Recruiting. Throughout her junior career, Galu competed at USTA sectional and national tournaments. She was a top doubles player and in 2016 her and her doubles partner competed in the US Open National Playoffs Eastern Sectional Qualifying Tournament. Finishing in second place, her and her partner qualified for the Connecticut Open, in which they competed for a wildcard into the US Open main draw. Off the court, Galu maintained excellence in the classroom as a member of the National Honor Society and the president of the Italian Honor Society. She is the daughter of Sandra and Anthony Galu and a sister to Nicole Galu, 15. She is majoring in Biology.
