Mike Kagafas, a 2014 Marist graduate, was named the department's Compliance Coordinator in the Summer of 2022.
Kagafas began his work for Senior Woman Administrator/Associate AD, Elizabeth Donohue, in the Fall of 2020 and assists with the day-to-day compliance operations for the departments 23 varsity athletic programs. In addition, Kagafas serves as an advisor for the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee, primarily overseeing the Diversity and Inclusion subcommittee of SAAC. He is also a member of Marist's IDEA Committee and has served as graphics producer for the department's ESPN productions.
Kagafas was a five-year member of the Marist football team, starting his career as a safety before moving to linebacker. He was a starter for the Red Foxes' PFL championship team in 2013, and he was a team captain and Honorable Mention All-PFL selection in 2014. He then served as Marist's linebackers coach from 2019-23.
