Rose Breen came to Marist as the Assistant Director of Student-Athlete Enhancement in April 2024. She is responsible for monitoring the academic progress and eligibility of the men's and women's soccer programs, the men's and women's swimming & diving programs, as well as the men's and women's lacrosse programs.
Prior to Marist, she came from Syracuse University where she worked most recently as an Assistant Academic Coordinator with the football and men's basketball teams. She was responsible for monitoring grades, providing academic support to at-risk students, and supporting the tutorial coordinator with scheduling. Prior to that, she was an Instructional Assistant and content tutor providing study skills and course-specific support across a variety of subjects for undergraduate and graduate students.
Breen earned her Master's in Higher Education as well as a Certificate of Advanced Study in Intercollegiate Athletic Advising and Support at Syracuse University.
Breen is a cum laude graduate of the University of Vermont with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychological Science and minors in Human Development and Family Studies and Animal Science. During her time there, she was the student manager for the men's lacrosse team and an intern for the Student-Athlete Development unit. She is a native of Kirby, Vermont and currently resides in the City of Poughkeepsie.
