Sydney Nitzkorski

Sydney Nitzkorski, MS, RD, CSSD has been a registered dietitian and fitness instructor for over two decades. She is a certified specialist in sports dietetics and began working at Marist in the Spring of 2024. She is thrilled to join the Marist Athletic Department as their sports dietitian and has loved working with the Red Foxes.

She attended Brown University, where she was on the gymnastics team and held the beam record, the all-around record, and won the individual all-around title at the 2000 Ivy League Championships. She attended Columbia University for her M.S. in nutrition and exercise physiology.


In the past 20 years, she has worked at 2 gyms (the first with 10,000 members, the second a preventative medicine center with 200 members), as the UPenn Athletic Department’s dietitian, and currently runs her own private practice. She has co-written a book, The Complete Bone and Joint Health Plan (https://a.co/d/fllzDPU) featuring education, recipes and exercise suggestions which comes out in May 2025.

Sydney has been featured in Sports Illustrated, the reality TV show Growing Up Gotti, The New York Post, CNN.com, FitnessMagazine.com, Marie Claire, Real Simple, Jane magazines, the Anatomy of Exercise and the Anatomy of Strength Training. Along with teaching Zoom fitness classes and nutrition sessions through her private practice, she also has a small YouTube channel featuring nutrition and fitness videos.
