Maryland native Dominique Bryant is entering her third season as an assistant coach on Brian Giorgis’ staff at Marist.
In her years at Marist, Bryant has coached and mentored eight All-MAAC Team selections, an All-Rookie Team selection, the MAAC Player of the Year, the MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, an All-Metropolitan First Team selection, and nine All-MAAC Academic team selections.
While with Marist, Bryant is also responsible for the player development of post players, prepares scouting reports and film breakdown of opposing teams, assists with recruiting including calling prospective student athletes and evaluating high school student athletes, and oversees all community service events. Bryant is also the Director of Camps, Shooting Clinics and Elite Camps.
Bryant played forward for Saint Joseph’s University Women’s Basketball team from 2007-2011. She was named Co-Captain for her final two years (2009-10 and 2010-11). During her playing career, Bryant was a part of a team that won two Hawk Classic Basketball Tournament Championships (2009, 2010), a Big 5 Co-Championship (2009) and earned two National Invitational Tournament (NIT) Post Season bids (2010, 2011).
In addition to her time as a player, Bryant worked as a counselor at the Cindy Griffin Basketball Camp at Saint Joseph’s University for two years and Saint John’s College High School’s Basketball Camp for three years. Bryant regularly supervised children ages 8-15 to help improve their fundamental basketball skills and leadership and successfully coached teams.
Prior to Marist, Bryant worked with Aegis, LLC defense services in McLean, Virginia as a Junior Accountant. There Bryant supported senior payroll accountant; updating and creating payroll records, insurance coverage, deductions and direct deposit information.
Bryant earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration – double majoring in Finance and Risk Management – from Saint Joseph’s in 2011.
