Leanne Ockenden enters 2015-16 in her second season as Director of Operations for the Marist women's basketball program. Her responsibilities on staff include game film, administrative duties and technology-based initiatives.

In her playing career, Ockenden was a standout guard for the Red Foxes from 2010-14. One of the top defensive players in program history, Ockenden was named Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Year as a junior and senior. Additionally, Marist won the MAAC regular-season championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament in all four years of her career. The senior class of Ockenden, Casey Dulin and Emma O'Connor won a total of 110 games in their four years, and went undefeated against MAAC foes in the 2010-11 and 2012-13 seasons.

Ockenden was a three-time Third Team All-MAAC selection, earning the honor in her sophomore, junior and senior seasons. She was named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team as a junior and earned MAAC Player of the Week honors twice in her career.

On Feb. 1, 2014, Ockenden became the 20th player in program history to score 1,000 career points. Her career total of 1,120 points ranks 15th in program history. She also is among the program's all-time leaders in games played (tied for third, 135), three-pointers made (fourth, 207), three-point percentage (eighth, .339), and steals (eighth, 186). 

Ockenden is a native of Syracuse, N.Y.
