Lawrenceville, NY - The Marist College volleyball team was swept 3-0 by host Rider today in Lawrecenville, NJ. The Red Foxes dropped the first game 30-20, and were unable to recover as Rider completed the sweep by posting 30-23 and 30-22 wins in the next two games.

The Red Foxes had 16 blocks on the day and Julie Gosewisch (Severna Park, MD) led the team with 15 digs. Three other Marist players also had double digit efforts in digs with freshmen Ryann Gillen (Paola, KS) and Aline dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) each recording 11 and junior Anne Corrigan (Rockville, Centre, NY) recording 10.

Rider was led by Jaclyn Levi who had 18 kills and 17 digs and Evette Hoeffner who recorded 15 kills and 17 digs of her own.

The Red Foxes will be back in action this Sunday, October 14th at 1:00 PM when they travel to Baltimore, MD to take on Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference foe Loyola. They will return home to play in the McCann Center against Niagara next Saturday, October 20 at 2:00 PM.
