Olean, NY---The Marist College women's tennis team (6-1, 3-0 MAAC) suffered a 4-3 defeat against St. Bonaventure University, this afternoon. Top players of the day were Jennifer Edwards (Baldwinsville, NY), and Courtney McGeever (Wickliffe, NJ), who didn't give up a match in singles or doubles play.

The Red Foxes took a 3-0 lead on the Bonnies, winning at number one and three doubles. At number one doubles, the team of Amanda Doestch (Freehold, NJ), and Diana Perrachio (Newtown, Conn), defeated their opponents, 8-4. Edwards and McGeever won at number three doubles, 8-2.

Edwards won easily at number five singles, 6-0, 6-0. McGeever was victorious at number six singles, 6-0, 6-2.

The Red Foxes will next compete in the ITA Rolex Tournament on October 26th through the 28th.
