Women's Swimming Falls to Boston College in Season Opener, 152-85

Boston, Mass---The Marist College women's swimming and diving team (0-1) suffered a loss to Boston College this afternoon, 152-85, in the Red Foxes' first contest.

Double winners on the afternoon was sophomore Jennifer Meyer (Fairport, NY), who claimed victories in the 50 yard freestyle (25.26), and in the 100 yard freestyle (56.08). Freshman Jennifer Gelsomino (Harrison, NY), had a pair of wins in the 200 yard individual medley (2:13.54), and in the 200 yard backstroke (2:13.27). Sophomore diver Amber Van De Carr (Rhinebeck, NY), qualified for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) meet in the 1-meter dive (222.95), and in the 3-meter dive (236.70).

The Red Foxes will next compete against Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference rival, Rider University, Saturday, November 10th, in Lawrenceville, NJ, at 1:00 pm.
