Jersey City, NJ---The Marist College men's soccer team (9-6-1) fell to Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) foe, St. Peter's College (5-12-1), 5-0. This was the last regular season match for the Red Foxes, ending their chance to be in the conference playoffs.
The Peacocks opened the scoring in the eighth minute, and took a 2-0 lead at the 29:45 mark before ending the first half. St. Peter's then went on to score three unanswered goals in the remaining half to secure the victory.
Senior goalkeeper Carlos DeBrito (Union, NJ) led in saves, with 10 for the afternoon. DeBrito finished his collegiate career today with an all-time total of 477 saves, ranking him number one in that category for the Red Foxes.
Marist led in corner opportunities, 11-0, while St. Peter's led in shots on goal, 14-12.
