New Rochelle, NY - The Marist College women's soccer team picked up a 1-0 victory today against host Iona College in New Rochelle, NY. The victory improved the Red Foxes to 2-4 overall and 2-0 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference while Iona fell to 1-8 overall and 1-2 in the MAAC.

Tara Savidge (New Hyde Park, NY) scored the only goal on the day in the 42nd minute for the Red Foxes. Savidge's goal was her third on the year and second straight game winner.

Goalkeeper Mellanie Nai (Suffield, Conn.) had six saves on the day as Marist recorded a shutout for the second straight game.

Jenn Radke and Alicia Wisneski combined for three saves for Iona.

The Red Foxes will be back in action this Friday September 28th when they travel to Providence, RI to face Brown at 7:00 PM. Their next game at Leonidoff Field will be this Sunday September 30th at Noon when they play host to Maine.
