Women's Soccer Is Defeated By Army 4-0

Poughkeepsie, NY-The Marist College women's soccer team was defeated by the Army Black Knights 4-0 tonight on Leonidoff Field.

Army opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Leigh Kosco took a pass from captain, Kelly Schachtler, from the right side. The Black Knights Adrian Walker scored in the 75th and 77th minute with both assists coming from teammate Michelle Veach. Alison Mulnix put one in net when she took a pass from freshman Delaney Brown on the left side in the 86th minute, making the score 4-0.

Despite several good scoring chances the Red Foxes were unable to come up with a goal. Marist has been shutout in its last six games.

Goalkeeper, Mellanie Nai (Suffield, Conn.), had nine saves on the night bringing her total to 65 on the season.

The Red Foxes return to action this Saturday, October 5th, when they travel to Vermont for an 11:00 a.m. game.
