New Britain, CT- The Marist College volleyball team picked up their first road win of the year on Wednesday night, defeating Central Connecticut State 3-0 (34-32, 30-22, 31-29). The Red Foxes improve to 7-15 on the year while Central Connecticut State falls to 8-12.

The last time the Red Foxes had won a road match was on October 27, 2001, when they defeated Vermont 3-1.

Aline dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led Marist with 15 kills. Courtney Pusko (Cheshire, CT) added 12 kills and six blocks for the Red Foxes. Christina Brozek (Fair Lawn, NJ) also reached double figures in kills with 10 on the evening, while Michelle Turley (Stevensville, MI) chipped in with 14 digs.

Shannon Verity led the Blue Devils with 16 kills. Chantelle Bowden had a double-double on the night with 11 kills and 16 assists.

The Red Foxes return to the McCann Center and resume conference play this weekend when they host Rider at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 19th, and Loyola at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 20th.
