Final Stats
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP) - Quarterback Andre Harris scored on runs of 46 and
19 yards and St. Peter's rushed for 268 yards in posting a 36-24 victory over
Marist Saturday night.
Matthew Ward scored on runs of 19 and 44 yards and Derek Clayton tallied on
a 10-yard run for St. Peter's (5-3, 4-1 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference).
Kevin Bielen hit only 10 passes for Marist (5-2, 3-2), but three went for
touchdowns. He hit Jason Hooper on TD passes of 47 and 2 yards and added a
45-yarder to Eric Bost.
The longer pass to Hooper and Kevin Corneliusen's 2-point conversion run
gave Marist an 8-7 lead early in the second quarter.
Ward's 19-yard run and a 45-yard field goal by James Galea late in the
second quarter gave St. Peter's a 17-8 halftime lead. Harris' 46-yard run late
in the third quarter pushed the lead.
Bost's touchdown catch with 1:54 to play closed the lead to 30-22, but Ward
iced the game seconds later scoring on a 44-yard run.
