West Point, NY - The Marist College volleyball team traveled to West Point, NY and lost to Army 3-1 (30-28, 30-21, 19-30, 30-24), snapping a three-game winning streak. The loss drops the Red Foxes to 9-16 on the season.

Marist trailed two games to none, but fought back and took the third game 30-19. Army (8-14) managed to pull away, however, and captured the fourth game for the win as they hit .373 for the match. The Black Knights also edged the Red Foxes in service aces 18-8.

Aline dos Santos (Sao Paulo, Brazil) led Marist with 17 kills and 10 digs on the night. Dos Santos now has 324 kills on the season, eclipsing the school record of 318 kills that was set by Julie Gosewisch in 2001. Michelle Turley (Stevensville, MI) and Courtney Pusko (Cheshire, CT) had 13 and nine kills, respectively. Pusko hit .643 for the match. Katie Lux (Wantagh, NY) did a nice job defensively, as she recorded 13 digs on the night.

Caitlin Machon led Army with 22 kills and six digs. Leah Shubin added 11 kills and 12 digs, while Abby Casciato tallied 49 assists for the Black Knights.

The Red Foxes return to action on Saturday, October 26th, when they travel to Niagara for a 1:00 p.m. match.
