Poughkeepsie, NY-The Marist College women's soccer team fell to the Siena Saints, 2-0, tonight on Leonidoff Field. The Red Foxes are 1-2-1 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC).

In an evenly contested match-up, Siena scored the eventual game winner, when Jill Lanzl put one in the net from 10 yards out in the 39th minute of the first half. The Red Foxes had several great opportunities but were unable to find the back of the net. The Saints scored their second goal when Sarah Shumway took a header off a corner kick in the 77th minute.

Senior goalkeeper, Mellanie Nai (Suffield, Conn.), made seven saves for the Red Foxes, while Siena's Noel Cox made 3.

The Red Foxes return to action Friday, October 25th, against Rider at 7:00 p.m. on Leonidoff Field.
