Final Stats
Fairfax, VA-- George Mason completed a double-header sweep of the Red Foxes, earning a 5-4 victory in a seven-inning game played this afternoon. The Red Foxes took a 4-2 lead into the bottom half of the sixth inning, but George Mason scored three runs, all off of loser Chris Tracz, to earn the victory.
A pitchers dual throughout the game, Tracz (2-1) gave up a run in the first inning, another in the bottom of the fifth, before allowing the three runs in the sixth.
Marist scored three in the top half of the fifth inning to take the lead, as Joey Salazar drove in two runs with a single up the middle. Marist added a run in the sixth innings when Josh Pardo singles, and scored on a John McGorty double, to wrap up the Red Foxes scoring. Anthony Bocchino was the Red Foxes hot bat in the game going 2-4, while Jimmy Willis continued to hit the ball well, going 2-3 with a run scored in the game.
