Fairfax, VA-- The Red Foxes allowed nine runs in the bottom of the first inning, and could not rebound despite a no-hit performance from Ryan Kondratowicz, who threw seven innings in relief of Chuck Bechtel.
Marist outhit the host George Mason, 12-5, but two errors by the Red Foxes in the first inning proved costly, as George Mason scored all of its runs in that inning. Kondratowicz tossed the final seven innings for the Red Foxes, holding George Mason hitless over that span, allowing just one walk, and not letting a single batter past second base. He also recorded two strikeouts in the game.
Marist scored a run in the first inning, added two in the second, and one each in the fifth and eighth innings, but would get no more, stranding 10 runners over the course of the game. Steve O'Sullivan had two RBI as he went 2-5 on the day, while Mike Sidoti was 2-4 with an RBI.
