Flushing Meadows, NY---The Marist College women's tennis team was defeated by 2001 defending Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) Champion Loyola College, 4-1, in the MAAC semifinal game.

In the doubles competition, the Red Foxes notched a win at number one doubles with the duo of Diana Perachio (Newtown, CT) and Amanda Doetsch (Freehold, NJ), as they defeated the team of Nancy Turnblacer and Alison Popp, 8-6.

In singles play Doetsch continued her winning streak at number two singles, topping Carolyn Pilkington, 6-3, 3-6, with Pilkington defaulting in the third set.

The Red Foxes will take on Niagara tomorrow afternoon at 1:30 p.m., in deciding the third and fourth place finishers.
